IT'S A SLIPPERY SLOPE!
IT'S A SLIPPERY SLOPE!
Process - Proceso
Carnivorous plants like the pitcher plant lure insects into their elongated, slippery chambers with nectar, trap them using moist, slippery hairs, collect them deep inside their tubular shapes in a pool, and eventually digest them.
Pitcher plants' downward-facing trichomes guide insects to move downward into bowl-shaped leaves while they wick up liquid and create a stable water film on the inner walls of the leaves to aquaplane, escaping insects back into the catchment pool.
